    Acceptable thermometer readings
Ok, so I have my Herpstat on my UTH set at 89 degrees.

My Acu-Rite probe is inside my tank in my warmside hide. When Indy(my BP) isn't in the hide, the acu-rite reads 92 - 93. When indy is in the hide resting on top of the probe, the temp on the acu-rite goes up to 101. Is this ok?
The temp on my Herpstat still says right around 89 degrees.

Where is your thermostat probe located?

My Thermostat probe is located on the outside of my tank, between the UTH and the glass.

The only thing I'm finding weird about this equation is that the thermostat is set to 89 but the in tank temps are are higher. Usually its the other way around with the in tank temps being the same or a couple degrees lower than the thermostat setting.
