depends on how many clutches you are expecting, ive heard only good things about his incubators though, Im pretty sure he sells a kit minus the cooler, to make your own

Just make your own. Get a cooler, some flexwatt, egg crate, and t-stat and you're set.

Minus the t-stat you can make a nice one for <$40 easily that will hold a couple of clutches.

I agree with making your own.............I have mine made out of a fridge(free) put the coated shelving for closets so air can curculate through and a few water bottles inside to maintain the temperature and humidity.....It can probably hold like 40-50 clutches and it cost me about 50 dollars...They show you how at arbreptiles website...real simple

My incubator that I used this year was an ugly foam box that something was shipped in at some point. I only need to hold one or two clutches so it worked great. I had 2 ft of 4 inch flexwatt and a Helix Tstat. I put 2 small square tubs under the egg box to keep it off of the floor. That was it. I set the Helix and checked occassionally and had no fluxuations at all once it was a good temp. It cost me $1.00 total (egg tub)as I already had the Helix and flexwatt. I only listed this to let you know that it doesn't have to be fancy, especially if you only have 1 or 2 clutches.

I use a Nature's Spirit which is GREAT, but it's over $375 (shipped). However, I have heard only good stuff about JW's incubators. I didn't get one because I was expecting a lot of clutches and they don't hold that many. But otherwise I definitely would have.

How many clutches can you get in the NS incubators? I've been looking at them as a possibility for next year.
