You might need to get a little more informative about your plan if you want folks to volunteer pictures and permission to use them. ;)

You guys are correct .. I need permission.

and it's for a web project. I always seem to have one cooking, but I need something with quality ... something I couldn't take myself.

I'm tellin' ya hon...you need to give a LOT more information. Maybe you want it to be some sort of surprise...or you're afraid someone will steal your idea if you spell it out... :confuzd: But if those two reasons are so strong that you can't tell WHY you want people's pictures, then you'll have to take your own. People value their ownership of their photos...most especially the high-quality ones. And the theft of photos is rampant on the 'Net. No one has any idea how safe their pictures would be in your hands. Not that YOU would steal them or do anything wrong with them....obviously you wouldn't because you're here asking for permissions. But how does anyone know that your project doesn't put their images in jeopardy of being stolen by someone else?

I understand that people are not going to just post pictures .. what, you crazy? pfft.

I am looking for someone to say "Yea, I have pictures. What is the project" then I show them, give details and such. I don't want to just run off with pictures. I am looking for some high quality shots to be placed on the front page on my new/redesigned/re-purposed website. I can give access to those that want to see it ... and if anyone is interested hit me up with a PM or sumtin.

I didn't mean to elusive, I guess I just thought I would get someone that would PM me or post here with some interest without me spilling everything and begging, I guess I was wrong in thinking that people would understand I am not posting ... on a very public forum "I wanna steal pictures, but I am really picky .. so send good stuff!!!!!!!"
