    My female has mites :(
Came home from work to find my female soaking in her water dish. Sure enough, there were black dots on the bottom.

I went ahead and soaked her in water for thirty minutes and completely disassembled her cage and soaked everything in it in steaming hot water for an hour. I cleaned the visible mites off of her with a q-tip. So what do I do now? She's been moved to a plastic tub for now, and went ahead and took apart my males tub too and soaked him/his stuff in the same way.

I know I need to go out and buy PAM, but I have zero dollars until Wednesday due to my exessive spending at the reptile show this weekend. Any advice? I live in a 500 sq. ft. apartment. I'm sure if they were in her water dish/on her, they're everywhere in my apartment as well.

Get some PAM(provent-a-mite) only way to kill them.

Moved it for ya. You can pick up some Reptile Relief from most big chain stores, and order some Provent A Mite to take care of the enclosure. Just be sure to follow the directions on the can to a T.
