    Newbie =]
    Hello everyone. My name is Alexandra, but please call me Alex, I'm 19 years old, and I live in Wisconsin. I finally decided to join a reptile forum and this looked like the best one out of the bunch =].

    I have recently acquired a Ball Python (6 weeks tomorrow), and I am very much in love with him already =P. His name is Zeus (oh so original, right? =P) and he is my first reptile ever. He is living in a 20 gallon tank with screen top, and the humidity stays at 50%, temp at 85 degrees during the day (90 under his basking lamp), I am currently using Douglass Fur bark as a base, he currently has one hide box (well cave actually) but I will be getting him another, and a large bowl for water. I have both day and night lamps that rest on top of the screen top and a towel over the large exposed screen area to keep the humidity higher. He is now currently eating pre-killed frozen Hoppers, and I think that's all..

    In addition to him I also keep many finned friends as well and have a 29 gallon nano reef tank, 38 gallon cichlid tank, 55 gallon Fish Only With Live Rock tank, and of course the 125 gallon Saltwater Reef Tank =]. And the inhabitants are 2 False Percula Clownfish (mated pair =D), 3 inch Yellow Tang, 1 1/2 inch Hippo Tang, Coral Banded Shrimp, Fire Shrimp, Blue Maxima Clam, Giant Feather Duster Worm, Tiger Oscar Cichlid, Jack Dempsey Cichlid, 8 inch Pleco, and of course a couple button polyp coral colonies. Yes, I am fish obsessed as well.

    Welcome to the site!

    You seem very interested in fish. I used to have tons of fish, and the largest ones that I owned would be those Oscar fish. Two normals and one albino. Sometimes I would mess with them and put my finger in the tank... the two normals nipped me but the albino didn't lol. BPs are also great snakes, and it sounds your snake has a great enclosure. Anyway, hope you find this site interesting:)

    I used to feed my Oscars feeder fish or feeder goldfish. They seem to like it a lot lol. I saved a really tiny feeder goldfish from that tank one time cuz I wanted a goldfish and it got really big and lasted a good 6 years. I named him Goldy lol. The orginal goldfish name. xD

    Hi, welcome. I only joined yesterday too but its nice to meet you. :) You're so lucky you can keep a reef tank running. I badly want to do that but I'm not confident that I can keep anything alive in it. The best I've ever done was a goldfish for a year, lol.

    I haven't fed him feeder fish, I'm hesitant to do so as well, as most of them have diseases and can give him hole in the head disease.

    Well, its just the beginnings of a reef tank, I actually only have a Green Button Polyp Colony and a Acropora Coral Frag. Don't want to overload my system it is still only 4 months old.
