Ghi Spider...out of the egg.
This is the result of breeding a spider and a ghi ball together. This one and some others in the same container had egg issues so I am lucky it even made it out. Luckily I had two containers from one clutch and the other animals are fine...a ghi, a spider, and three normals. The yolk on this one was still the size of the baby itself and last night I tied it off and separated them this morning. It's a crap shoot whether or not it will survive but I will do my best to help the little one along. The ghi definitely tweaked the pattern and added the pinstriping/noise to the inside of it so I am very pleased with the combo and will repeat it next season!

I like the combo as well Matt. :gj: Should color-up nicely based on what we have seen when the Ghi aging so WELL! I LOVE the Ghi base morph as you know.
I have had good success with seperating babies from yolk -- if you get them early rather than late and if they seem to absorbed at least HALF of said yolk. I think yours looks like he'll make it.:) If they die, it has been within the first 12-24 hrs.
You may find that he will not shed within the normal 7-10 days because of not absorbing all the yolk -- and may not shed until he gets a meal or two in him. Good luck -- I am thinking good thoughts. :D
