Decided to get in to rat breeding (duw)
Here are a few pictures of our new breeder rat setup. I used one of the guides on this site. Gonna start small since I only have 6 snakes to feed. Next week gonna pick up a second breeding trio and 2 more containers. Hopefully that will satisfy my rat needs in the future.

do you have your maternity ward tub set up yet? Your screen should be mounted inside the tub, the way it is now they will be able to chew around it.

Also..... might want to use metal ties. I don't think those plastic ones will last long.

Definitely switch food. That stuff is full of junk that rats can't digest(alfalfa, tiny seeds). It's also full of fattening sunflower seeds and the dried corn can carry a form of mold that can kill them(slowly as it builds in their system).

You can make your own healthier mix for MUCH cheaper. Get a bag of lab blocks too for a completely balanced food. Any Purina dealer(feed store) can order Mazuri. You want a block with 16-18% protein and 6-9% fat. I use Mazuri 9F. They come in 50 lb bags.
