How about an "I second that" addition
What if there was a button or something that you could hit to "second" someone's notion? I'm thinking something similar to the thanking system and the displaying of user names. It is sometimes pointless to make a post saying "I agree with [enter user here]" and people might be able to show more support for certain ideas by seconding a post.

This would be helpful when many different topics come up. For example, if a husbandry issue was brought up and two people post different husbandry specifications, there might be a difficult time seeing which method gets the most support. The "support/second" button would help show what gets more support, and who is supporting it. If an advanced herp keeper is giving support for someone's husbandry, it may be considered more of a valid opinion to some.

I know this is really similar to the thanking system, but sometimes thank you's are not appropriate and this would be. This might seem like a little too much change for the reward that it is worth, but I would rather have this system than the thanking system (no hard feelings). :)

If the posts are useless, then why post them?
I usually add something that was not stated before, and not just affirm what others say. Besides, everyone has their own interpretation and opinion on any fact. People might think we're mindless drones. :O

I think of the thank button as a "Thank you for saying what I would have said".

*I agree with Connie. I just use that thanks button. Anymore buttons and I will start having trouble deciding what one to use... :O Does it deserve a rep, a thanks, or a 'I second that'... :)
