Wanting to setup a tub/rack system
Hey Guys. Long time no post:D
Can you all give me a suggestion on a tub size to use for baby, juvi and adult ball pythons? I have all my large snakes in custom enclosures I have built and my bp is the only one in a modified twenty long tank. I plan on getting several more bps and want to ditch the tank and go with racks, I am just unsure on the dimensions to use. Also, would it be best to put the flexwatt on the back of the rack so that the darkest end of the tubs are against it or should I flexwatt half of the bottom of each shelf. If any of you have any pics you can share that would be great!
    Thanks!

I put hatchlings right into 15qt tubs and leave them there until they are about 500 grams then move them to 32qt tubs. If you have a particularly large female, I would put her in a 42qt.

I run a 4" strip on flexwatt down the back of each shelf (the horizontal back of the shelf if that makes sense).

Sounds good. So you have the flexwatt heating the bottom if the tubs in the back correct?

I put my hatchlings in 6 quart tubs in rack systems. I then move them into 28 or 32 quart tubs in rack systems, and leave them. I used to move larger animals into 41 quart tubs, but had too many issues with them refusing meals.

    Hope this helps.
