    Pastel Ghost Question
Will someone please post a pic of a hypo pastel right out of the egg?

I just hatched a clutch from pastel het ghost X 50% chance het ghost. They took two days to all come out of the egg and I still am not sure what I have. Probably just 1.0 ghost, 0.4 pastel 66% chance het ghost, and 0.1 66% chance het ghost. But all the morphs are much better looking than I expected. Of course that's not saying much as these are the first pastels or ghost that I've hatched.

    Here is the whole clutch:

Here is the for sure at least hypo one with the three most purple headed for sure at least pastels:

And here is the hypo with the most faded head pastel:

Thanks, and very nice by the way!

Yours does have way more fading and the ghostly look that would have left me sure if I had one like that.

I wonder if mine being part way between the two in your middle pic on the "purple head" scale indicates that they are any more likely to have hit their 66% chance of being het ghost? I produced the 50% chance het hypo mom and her 100% het dad was very nice and almost exactly half of her clutch was noticeably lighter than the other half. Unfortunately she was the only light female. I sold all the males and the darker females as normals so hitting on the only one tested isn't a big enough sample size to say it couldn't be some gene other than a single hypo copy making the bright half of mom’s clutch.

Oh well, I'll have to try this pair again next year and get a hypo pastel!

I've heard it mentioned a few times that het hypo's do tend to be a little brighter than their siblings.
