    Tonka's Home!
Well.....kinda! He's staying with Auntie Deb for now - since I couldn't take a day off to receive a shipment!

Tonka is the brother to my Willow and Storm, produced by Ed at Wildmorph Pythons.

A little background on the little guy, I selected little man shortly after he was hatched, and was very thrilled to be adding him to my collection. About three or four weeks later, Ed contacted me and broke the news to me, that Tonka was displaying very extreme spinning behavior - Ed even described is "a trainwreck".

I was heart broken! I chose another male instead. So, in November, I met Ed and his dad and a bunch of other folks from the site in Birmingham for one of our Dixie Reptile Show gatherings and he delivered Willow, Storm, the other male, and a second male - who is still here and going to live with Joanna soon!

If you haven't figured it out, this was part of a breeding loan - we got 11 eggs with 8 spiders.

Well, a few months down the road, Ed calls me and says "you know, Tonka isn't spinning any more, now that he's put some weight on, do you still want him?" Uhhhhh, YEAH!!! I think he was the hottest male out of the clutch!

So, we made arrangements to ship the other male back to Ed, and today, Tonka arrived at Deb's house - finally in Georgia!!!

Knowing Tonka's past history, and knowing that stress can sometimes set off an "episode" of spinning, I asked her if he displayed any spinning behavior when she checked him over before putting him into his tub in her QT room. She said that he acted just fine, and she didn't see any spinning at all!

OK - OK - on to the pictures, that Deb was so kind to send me - starting with the wonderful packaging that Ed did, and I love his paperwork (even if he didn't send me any swag! LOL)

Love the check list - I think I'm going to "steal" this for my shipments going forward:

Thank you to both Ed and Deb (although Deb is threatening to keep Tonka for herself)!

Oh Robin I didn't know that Tonka was doing so well! How did you miss telling me this girl! He's wonderful and I'm so very glad you are getting him since I know he was your favorite male and you were so disappointed in his initial extreme spinning issues.

Ed, man I'm blown away by that packing and paperwork job. Even custom snake bags! You are setting a standard high for us my friend! Great job and very, very professional.

That little guy is hot and I am glad I can foster him for a little while.

Should I add that the package was fully inspected upon arrival by my trained sniffing (I mean nosy dog)
