    Queries on new BCI!
    Hi all!

I just got on Sunday a BCI. Its absolutely gorgeous (I'll try to get pics up soon).

It is due to eat tommorrow thursday, however I might let him be until the weekend so he can settle in nicely.
But about his feedings, are BCI's fed 10-15% of their body weight weekly, the same as ball pythons?

Also, since I got him I often find him all stretched up against the cage with his head nearly reaching the top. Is this normal?
He's a 6 week old hatchling so I currently have him in a small plastic enclosure that has ventilation at the top.

    Thanks!

    Grats on you new boa

I feed prey about the same size as the snake is round every 10-14 days, I have heard people doing the body weight thing but in my opinion it is a pain to get a bigger boa onto a scale just to see what he should be eating.

The stretched out thing is probably just him looking around figuring out his new home as long as temps and humidity are close I would not worry about it.

Temps and humidity and fine. And the stretching up and mostly stopped so I guess he's finished cruising his surroundings.

    Thanks!

How often do you feed baby boas? Same thing as baby ball python? once every 5-7 days?
