    Why have you not tried a linux based operating system? Why not take the plunge and try a new OS?

    actually, I used a linux system for all the programming I did for my cs classes in college, but for everything else I use windows.

    I have tried a few versions and liked them for the most part. My biggest issue is compatibility with certain things. My family has 4 iphones and we need to use iTunes (without running circles).
    I do love how fast Linux runs, wish my Win machines were that fast.

    Windows offers a more spectrum of programs and compatibility with drivers and programs working with the new hardware coming out each year. Also directX 10 is another reason i stay with windows.

    I work on computers all day long,fixing/repairing/upgrading/building and Windows is by far the easiest when looking for drivers from manufactures.

    Wine or VirtualBox works great for when you need to run windows/programs :)

    Leopard is great, IMO its much faster than windows but I like the feel of Ubuntu more.
