My newest hatchlings, I fnally got a pied.
5 years ago, I bought a pair of het Pied babies from Ralph Davis. The male has been breeding for 3 years, but the female has been a bit finicky and has been hard to get up to size. Well, I finally got three eggs out of her this year and I couldn't be happier with the results.

I finally got my Pied, and it's a male...

The three bothers. The two possible hets look just like their Dad. I love those little spots by their nostrils 'booger balls' :D

He's SO white, but just enough contrast to make it interesting.

I just love the way he looks. 5 years in the making, but well worth the wait.

Wow Mark! I am soo envious! That is the morph I have been chasing! Maybe next year. :please:

I guess gettin all those pastels and no lessers happened for a reason...because you were going to get a pied! Congrats man!

Personally I'd rather hatch a pied over a lesser. I would consider this a successful season for ya now! :)

Congrats on the pied, you defied the odds with the 3 eggs. Congrats now raise him up to breed to your het female and make more pieds and 100% hets next year!

Wow!! He definitely was well worth the wait. Easily one of the best pieds I've ever seen. His pattern and distribution of white is perfection.

Thanks everyone, here's something interesting too. It's neat that Ralph still has the birthing records up, my het male whom I call Lonesome George was an only child in clutch number 47 and the Mom came from clutch 44, both from 2004. Here is the link to Ralphs online birthing records.
