    Yeah, my cats are about 12-16 pounds as a rough guess, but his cat is literally GIGANTO.

    Do these giant kitties have health problems like diabetes?

    At the adoption fair at my Petsmart, one of the foster moms said "I love my cats to be fat", and I'm thinking, but that's not healthy for them, why would you intentionally feed them to be fat?

    I had commented that Sammy (who I adopted at about a year old) was going on a diet because he was so big for his age, and I'd already dealt with diabetes in one cat (although, she wasn't an overweight cat), and I didn't want to have to do it again. She was his foster mom, and that's when she told me she liked her cats to be chunky and fat.

    Cute, but can't be healthy. Of course, I know that getting a fat lazy cat to lose weight is NOT easy. Dogs are always open to exercise. Cats...not so much.
