Anyone shoot shotguns?

I've never shot a 10-gauge before, and am curious about the kick on those things. I've heard stories of everything from "strong but not that bad" to "guaranteed going to break your shoulder".

I've shot 12-gauges before, but jeez the 10-gauge shell looks like a real monster.

I don't have one but my friends uncle does. Its like shooing a double barrel with 3 inch slugs in each chamber and shooting them at the same time. Not really too bad....But I wouldn't shoot it more than a few times a day. Went out shooting his 416 rigby a few weeks back. That things awesome.

well if you shoot it all day youll for sure be sore...but its not that bad a few times.

the trap club in town has one for people to try out. its not to bad, i wouldnt want to shoot it all day though

Used to have a Browning 12 gauge, but sold it a few years ago.

well having eight 12 gauges and three 20 gauges we shoot alot but the 10 guage is a different species :rolleyes: it could knock you straight on your you know what or you could handel it like a pro :P

yeah the first time i shot it i was like "wow" i was expecting it but then again i wasnt

ammo is trough the roof though right now :mad:

yeah thats what ive heard i only go trap shooting every now and then
my buddy who goes there a lot says flats of shells are still pretty cheap right now, i dont remember what he gets them for now though
