    Smell
I picked up my bp tonight and found that he had a very musky, almost pet store-ish kind of smell to him. I turned over his hide and found he was sleeping next to his poop, not in it, just next to it. Is it normal for them to have an odor?

No. Must be the poop. Give him a slight "rinse" with a damp cloth. And clean up the poopsicle. Make sure to get all of it and clean what it touched so the smell goes away.

I'd say it's normal for anything sleeping next to poop to have an odor :P
Give him a warm rinse and i'm sure it would go away after cage is cleaned out.

I believe that "musty" smell is urine. I know when my snakes pee it smells like a, a, nevermind, I can't think of a nice way to say what it smells like... The poop doesn't smell musky... it smells like poop...
