Cage size for an Adult Jungle Carpet Python
Hey guys,
I have decided my next snake would be a jungle carpet python and this pet shop that specializes in exotics have 2 6 foot jungle carpet pythons for sale. That should be about full grown and I am wondering what size aquarium would be able to house a full grown jungle carpet python? Also, what is the biggest rat a jungle carpet python can eat?
Thanks
Re: Cage size for an Adult Jungle Carpet Python
We have a large adult male (nine years old). He is 6 feet long, and his former owner fed him medium/large rats. We did the same, and he ate with no problem. He is in a 55 gallon tank, which he came with. Curious myself to see what others do/suggest. These are definitely cool snakes!

Thanks
But I also want to know what size tub you could house them in too!
Tub size for adult jungle carpet python
I would like to know what size tub do you use for an adult jungle carpet python.
For example, like a 44 qt. and so on.
Re: Tub size for adult jungle carpet python
unless you have a small male, i dont think there is an appropriate tub for an adult.
Re: Cage size for an Adult Jungle Carpet Python
6 foot carpet should probably be in a minimum 36x24x18 cage in my opinion. i keep my adults in 5x24x24 and 4x24x18.
Re: Cage size for an Adult Jungle Carpet Python
I merged these two threads together as they are asking the same thing.

Colin knows a lot more about carpets than I do but I even feel that 36x24x18 is to small for any snake over 4'. I keep my adult bredli's in a 5x3x3.
Re: Cage size for an Adult Jungle Carpet Python
Do you guys feel a 75 gallon tank is an acceptable size for an adult female?
