    Another Feeding Question
hey i have a Baby Bp and im feeding him/her(having popped yet) a small mouse every 5 days, now i think its a hopper because it has a lot of fur and is running around with its eyes open and stuff. i heard that the prey needs to be 10-15% of the snakes weight every feeding. im getting a scale in a few weeks so i dont know the weight of the bp yet. im going to feed a hopper every 5 days for a few weeks. is that okay? and when he/she gets bigger, ill move to adult mice ext... then ill try rats if he/she gets big enough but most likely stay with adult mice.

mine grew up pretty fast, i think i fed her like 3 hoppers at the most, she is on adult mice at the moment and growing out of them fast... She is about 3 months old now at the most. She eats every 4-5 days.

They can move on to adult mice after eating hoppers for a few weeks. I would say your snake is getting enough food but could go for an upgrade. :P I would upgrade her once you get your scale and can measure the bp and the food. :)

okay that sounds good. ill prob feed it a few more times with hoppers then adult then maybe small rats. im going with the rule of the widest part of the snakes body. and you can check out this youtube video of my ball python so you can tell me what size you think he she should eat.
