Herpstat 2 Question

Ok, so I've been thinking about getting a Herpstat 2 for my UTHs.
Question, the herpstat 2 comes with probes to measure the temp inside the tank, correct? If so, will I still require thermometers inside the tank to measure the temp?

You should still have thermometers or a temp gun to check temperatures.

The probes that come with the thermostat are to let the unit know the temp so it knows to regulate the UTH.

The herpstat can let you know the temps at the probe sites (and even records highs and lows), but it's very wise to have backup thermometers.
