    Surprise - Hatchlings
Well our female Bearded Dragon has had four clutches this year. My boyfriend decided to try and incubate them as we found our female and male out of their enclosures one night and figured they probably made the most of their escape. :colbert:
Since we don't really have a real incubator he rigged a small cooler with vermiculite and just left it in the reptile room which stays pretty warm. First clutch was a bust. Nothing. Second clutch was the surprise. Went in one day and just thought lets check the cooler/incubator and what do we find.

A little head sticking out of an egg.

Later that day we got our first baby.

So far we've got four to hatch out. They are now running around chasing and eating crickets like crazy.

Here are the first three in a temporary enclosure until we ran out and bought a tub. It's just a cricket keeper we put inside the tortoise pool since it had a heat lamp attached.

And then some individual pictures. One was very feisty at first.

Hopefully the rest hatch out, but if not we at least got these four little ones.

    Thanks for looking. :)

Thanks everyone. I can't help but go in there and just watch them run around. It's just too cute. Can't wait for them to get a little bigger so we can start to handle them and get them used to us. Don't want to stress them out just yet. I'll try and take some more pictures in the next couple days and share with everyone.

    Thanks!

They are growing nicely and eat crickets like there is no tomorrow. Did get one nipped tail today so we are going to separate them. Figured they would be ok with only four in a 20 gallon long sized tub. But I guess not.

Here are a couple pictures of the babies from today. It was bath day.

Second photo did an auto color adjust since it was washed out, so they aren't that orange. lol

Oh I know, we were just handling them today and we had one that was holding on for dear life and just did not want to get off my bf's finger. :D Guess he/she was comfortable. lol
