    Is this over feeding?
I bought a 1 year old 300g female ball a few weeks ago along with a few other snakes the same size all feeding on live mice. She seemed a bit under weight.Attempting to switch them all over to 20 g f/t rat pups, I tried feeding them different ways every 2 days for the past week. The only snake that would take them so far is the one 300 g female. I'm really happy she has no problem switching over it seems but i was just wonder...She has now had 3, 20gram rat pups in the past 6 days.. Do you think this is too much for her too fast??She does not hesitate for a second to eat them..

I'm going to purchase some frozen mice now in hopes that the other live mouse eaters will take them since they dont like the rats so far. I really hate feeding live and hope to get them all switched over eventually..

Everybody does things differently. I feed every 5 days till they get to be 500+ grams. I know breeders that will feed every two or three trying to grow a female up. I think as long as the snake stays proportional and doesn't start looking like a Blood python then if your comfortable feeding every two days and can afford it...OK..But me personally I have far to many snakes to try feeding baby's every two days so every 5 is more than enough.

    Just my two cents.

I would think 10-15% meals every 5-7 days would be sufficient. Every 2 days seems a bit much.

If it looks under weight maybe 2 times a week till it looks fine but do'nt feed it 2 times a week for it's whole life because at some point u'll be over feeding
