Help me figure out what Kingsnakes I have!
So ive decided to get into the world of Kings and Milks and take a small break from the army of Ball Python Morphs that haunt me even in my sleep! I made a trade this past weekend for some Kings and im not exactly sure i remember correctly what i have. I heard both the names Florida and Brooks thrown around a few times so i'm not sure if they are one in the same or 2 different things or what? anyway here are the pics with what i think he called them.

    Florida or Brooks

If the first one is not a Sonoran Desert king it is a hybrid.

The albino does not look pure either.

The others are florida kings of which the brooksi is a subspecies.

the first one looks like pure desert king sometimes called splendida.

some argue that brooksi (brooks) kingsnake found in the south of florida is a locale of the florida kingsnake, most seem to think it is true subspecies of the florida king snake.have fun !

The first snake is a Desert King snake.
The second snake is an Anery Florida King snake.
The third snake is an Albino Brooks King snake.
The fourth snake is a Hypo Brooks King snake.
The fifth snake is a Super Hypo Florida King snake.
The sixth snake is a Brooks King snake.

I have some Kings of my own as well, I have a Black & White California King and a Chocolate King mixed with a Black & White Striped King snake. Hope I helped (:

ok after looking at some pics in the classifieds on Kingsnake.com, and with help from some people on this forum i think i have them all down now.

    1st is a Desert
    2nd is Anery Florida
    3rd is Albino Florida
4th and 6th is labeled "Brook's South Florida Kings" on Kingsnake.com
5th is just a regular Hypo Brooks. not a Super Hypo. I found many of them on KS for sale with the name Hypo.

    1. Desert King (L.g.splendida)
    2. Anery/axanthic Florida
    3. Albino Florida X ??? Definitely a cross.
    4. Normal Florida
    5. Hypo Florida
    6. Normal Florida from the northern range of their territory judging by the spacing of the bands.

The term Brooksi was eliminated mostly due to animals of both dark and light coloration being produced within the same clutch and in the same areas in nature. Most hobbyists refer to extremely light animals as brooksi, buy they are all now considered floridana. It helps to know the lines in which the animals came from, but these days most people just breed whatever they have at hand.

Here is a white brooksi I produced in 01.
