We're getting a new BMX course.
Not just any old BMX course but a World Cycling Centre. Apparently Lafarge Cement Co. are going to spend 100 million pounds giving their disused quarry a bit of a facelift. Film studio, nature reserve, hotel, scuba diving centre and much more is planned for the old quarry and surrounding area. Exciting times ahead for our wee town. The sooner they get it all built the better

Ohh yeahh BMX, I loved our local dirt track till the day I smashed my front AND rear tire after a huge jump, lost a tooth and learned a lesson in pain tolerance, until the emergency came, cracked my ankle and broke a rib, never rode a BMX bike since then, other bikes more then enough, did cross country and downhill rides and took part in road racing events (probably more dangerous than BMX) and various duathlons and triathlons. but no BMX since then (1992), but have fun...:gj:
