    She ate today!
So I brought my new BP home wed. Her name is Prada. Well she ate last on the 21st and I was told that she never missed a meal. They even gave me copies of their sheets with the dates and everything. So anyhow I went today to get a rat pup and the ones they had left where tiny so I got an adult mouse. I poke some holes in the bag and stuck it holes down on the vent hole I have in her tank top (foil/duct tape thing going on). Well like...literally 5 seconds after I moved away she was out and looking around. Another minute or two and she was trying to strike it through her tank. So I waited a few more minutes and went ahead and gave it to her cause I didnt want her to get hurt and BAM! Instant strike and she didnt even really wrap around it. But she swallowed that thing like a champ! Im happy, I figure this is a good sign of her getting settled in. She wasnt even shy about eating while we were watching to make sure the mouse didnt bite her.

I wouldn't have it where she can strike and hit something else, like it sounds you described. If you were just scenting the room, then just having the mouse near the tank would do. Glad she ate for you though.

She couldnt really strike anything but the tank itself, thats what she hit. We had the mouse by the vent hole and she couldnt see it but she could smell it and I guess she just went after the direction. Barely brushed the top of the tank with her nose, but we gave it to her after that incase she got overzealous. :)
