I am no expert but it could be dehydration or a retained eye cap. I am sure others who know better than me will respond shortly.

He did a complete shed so I know that it is not a retained eye cap, and there are two water bowls in his tank and the humidity runs from 40 - 50 % and then I bump it up to 75% for shedding cycles..........So I am confused as to what could cause the dent.

Low humidity is really the only culprit that I know of. Raise it to 60% and see what that does for him. It might take a day or two to get back to normal.

Mist him for the next few days, I occasionally get denters and its from lack of humidity in the eye or something like that, dont know the actual term.

I've noticed that in both Toby and Delilah, and misting their tanks for a few days seemed to do the trick. The climate here is very cool and dry, so I guess the humidity wasn't quite high enough... it usually lingers around 48-49%, so maybe 50% isn't doing it for your BP. Here's a picture where you can see a small dent in Delilah's eye, before I started misting (she's now back to normal).

Thank you all for your responses.... I upped the humididty in his hide to 80% for a couple of hours and the dent seems to have gone away.... just was being a worried mama.

My suggestion is a quick 15 minute soak. Worked like a charm on my first BP that I got from someone that didnt understand what humadidadiy was.

It could be just from rubbing his eyes against something in the enclosure. Those dents will go back to normal when the snake next sheds. This happened with my BP a few times but once she sheds the dents go away.
