    Hey There!
Hi! Im new here. Well, me and Prada are both new here. She is my new BP that I brought home a few days ago. We're both adjusting very well. She is a normal, almost a year old. 393 grams even. Very healthy looking compared to what Ive see in run of the mill pet stores, and has never missed a meal, or so I am told. I will be feeding her for the first time myself tomorrow morning.

Anyhow, I have the temp and humidity regulated very well, according the the sticky that has been posted on here. She hasnt really spent much time in her warm hide, she seems to prefer the cooler side during the day. It worries me a small bit because if you touch her she seems a bit cold, but at night she is very active and will do laps all over the place, even occasionally spending a bit of time in the warm hide and on her tree thing. Is this all right? I have cypress mulch as the substrate because when she sheds I want to be able to bump up the humidity with a little misting. She has three hides and two trees and one of the hides is a tree. She also has a very large water bowl. I think her set up is fairly good but I'll post some pics if you guys have any tips or if anything I am doing is wrong :)

Here is a picture of her at night when she is more active.

Here is her whole set up during the day. You can see her under the tree hide. Dont worry about the sticky type thermos because those were when there was fish in the tank. I have a digital one that you might be able to see for the ambient air and the humidity.

Hi and :welcome: to the forum!

What are your temps reading in the warm side hide? Is that the hide in the middle of the enclosure?

Hello! Yay, thanks for the welcomes :)

Its been moved since the picture. I had to move the water bowl after I cleaned it out and refilled it so it moved over. But yes, its that one. Inside it the temp is 92. In the cool side the temp is 82 and the ambient air temp is 80. :)

Welcome to BP.net, and I figure I would just give you a few tips, as I noticed from your enclosure.

I would get 2 identical hides, one for the warm, and one for the cool side. Also I would remove the sticky thermometers, not that it's any big deal or anything, just get a razor blade on the edge, and pull slowly and it wont leave any residue. Next I would remove the hide in the middle, and whatever the thing is attached to it, as 2 identical hides would be better, and you move that big fake tree to the center, aswell as remove the thing to the left.

Main thing I would do is relocate your Flukers Thermostat to the bottom of the tank, about a inch or two above the substrate, as you want it to measure the temperature and humidity down there, not way up top where your snake doesn't stay majority of the time. Other then that, you have a nice setup.

welcome! the issue with her staying on one side could be caused by the ddifferent hides. she probably feels safer in the one shes staying in. whch might be why she feels cold. its an awesome setup but id try to get identical hides.
