    Hurray New Toy!
Thanks to my side work I finally have the capital to invest into a new laptop. I've been building/buying them for people for years but this was the first one I've ever bought for myself. :D

    This is what I bought:

    Dell Studio XPS 13
    • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4Ghz 3MB Cache
    • RAM: 4GB DDR3-1066Mhz
    • Graphics: NVIDIA 9400M 256MB + 9200M GS (Hybrid SLi)
    • Hard Drive: Seagate Momentus 7200.3 320GB 7200 RPM
    • DVD Drive: 8x Slim DVD±RW Slot Load Drive with 1080p DVD Upconversion
    • Wireless: Mini Wireless N
    • Screen: 13.3" 1280x800
    • Color: Black
    • Other: Back Lit Keyboard, 8-in-1 Card Reader,

The first thing you should do is back up all of your antivirus and any other software you paid. Then do a new install of the OS. They put so much crap on those the only way to get rid of it is to reinstall. But remember to get all of the extra software info you purchased first then do the new install. Oh yeah nice looking machine.

Computers is my profession, first thing going on this Machine is my Windows 7 64-Bit RC, which will be followed up by the official Windows 7 install once I get my free upgrade (w00t promotions!). I don't care for their free software/trials, it's all crapware to me. If it were cost effective I'd built the laptop myself! :P

I also may put on Mac OSX 10.5 and make my own Hackintosh, considering the specs are nearly identical to one of the Macbook Pros.

I need more experience in the OSX OS. I know far more about Linux than I do OSX...time to remedy that.
