Very cool video! Looks like you sure know what you are doing!! Never would have thought you would have been able to interact that much with those snakes while they are feeding.

    Very cool again! :gj:

That level of interaction is what I love about the type of snakes I keep. Especially as babies, you can pick them right up, play with them, and they will feed very, very readily. They become VERY passive about being around humans. As you can see, these babies are not even a month old and yet already are almost completely over being scared of me!!! I can actually stick my arm into my cages of garter and water snakes and have multiple snakes climbing all over me in seconds. They are so curious and laid back. and their mother?! ha! She lives to be picked up, I swear!

I do my best to make sure that the babies I produce are REALLY relaxed and laid back by the time they are ready to go! It only takes on average, 3 feedings before I can start picking them up without them being fearful.

Both of my snakes are like that also, they love to be picked up. My rufous is a bit of a shy eater at times, but not my annie. Great video, and awesome snakes.

I've watched a few of your videos now, and it really is cool watching the way you are able to interact with them.

One thing I've always thought would be cool about keeping a fish-eating snake would be to let them do the fishing. Like set up a feeding enclosure that has a tub of water in it that has a few live fish in it. I have no idea if that is actually a viable option or not, but it sounds fun to watch!

as long as you have a source of thiaminase free feeders such as guppies or mollies... it is totally viable!! They LOVE fishing!!!
