    A question about weight
I wonder just how much my girl should weigh for her age and size. She's between 1&2 years old and just under 4 feet long. I weighed her this morning and she was about 170 grams. Does that seem low? She's my first so I don't really have any comparison.

She eats like a champ. We feed her once a week and she takes f/t small rats, about 4 inches long, sans tail. She'll take 2 if we offer it. I don't want to over feed her but I feel she should weigh more.

    Yes? No? Any opinions?

I'm no expert but I do believe she should weigh a lot more than that.

Yeah, I think my scale is bunk. I'm going to get a new one tomorrow but I'd like to have an idea of what is typical. I'm not even certain about her age, it's a guesstimate at best, her previous owner knowing bubkiss.

Is it possible your scale was on ounces? 170oz is equal to about 4800grams

    Just a possibility.

I weighed her in ounces, then converted it. I'm going to check the scale. I think it must be crap.

    Aha! Low battery.

New battery. 32oz, so about 964 grams.

If it's between 1-2 years I think that may be pretty close to average weight.

Maybe someone more experienced can chime in??
