Is this what I think it is?
I put my pastel in with one of my girls just to see if it would happen, I checked back in an hour and this is what I see. Is this a lock?

Hehe thanks. What are the odds that this lock is all it'll take? I really wasnt intending to breed yet, this was just kind of a test to see if my pastel will be a stud or a dud lol. I plan on putting him back in his enclosure on Friday and not cycling him or testing anymore till next season.

I think it was Dan Sutherland that mentioned on Reptile Radio that there's been plenty of times that he got a clutch from pairing a female up once for the season.

you never can tell if it takes till it happens, so guess you will just have to wait and see. is your girl up to weight?

Last year I had 3 for 3 girls all ovulate and drop a healthy clutch of eggs, each from a single pairing. Is your girl that you tested him with old/big and healthy enough to be bred right now?

Yeah, absolutely I wouldve never attempted it if that wasnt the case. She's slightly shy of 1500, but is 4 years old and has a good, thick, built body. She's definitely reeady if she does ovulate.
