    Bill 373 - Any updates?
While HR669 has gained a lot of attention, it seems that attention has been taken away from the far more specific (and far more likely to pass) Bill 373. This bill seeks to add all python species to the list of injurious wildlife--making it illegal to breed, transport between states, or import any of them.

I'm curious to know if anyone has heard any recent news on this bill. HR-669 almost seems like smokescreen, while Bill 373 may sneak in through the back door while everyone is distracted.

HR669 will harm MANY different animal dealers, pet owners, and importers. Bill 373 directly impacts ONLY constrictor snake hobbyists, dealers, and importers. There are a lot FEWER of us to complain about it...have you made your voice heard yet?

Since this bill still has zero co-sponsors, I'm not too worried about it. From my admittedly limited understanding of how congress works, bills that don't get co-sponsors don't go any where.

I also know that both PIJAC and USARK are aware it exists, and so they should be keeping an eye on it. I think we'd hear plenty about it if it starts to look like it is gaining any momentum.
