    strange question
I feed my male BP large adult mice. It seems that whenever I get the feeder mice from one particular store my snake is not interested in eating the mouse. On the other hand, when I get the mice from a store that is close to my home my snake pounds the mouse down. Could my snake be able to smell a difference between the mice? I know this is a weird question but I am just very curious. Thank you in advance for your responses.

Don't count that out...you would be amaized at how picky these animals can be. Particular smells, colors, food items, can affect feedings. Then again I have BPs that would eat a sock if I dropped it in their tub. lol

My snake has never been this picky before. I guess I will just have to stick with whatever works. Thank you for your response Frankie, I really appreicate it.

I have an 06 spider female that will only eat white mice. No rats, asf, no other color mice, nothing. She has been that way since I got her, an 06 sitting at just over 1000g.

A friend of mine has a retic that won't eat rats, it will only eat mice, so it has stayed rather small. A snake can be very picky and sense the difference between mice from the locations, it could be a number of things ranging from the smell of the mouse from one store and the conditions they are kept to how they are breed.

My snakes prefer food from Exotics By Nature rather then the local Pet store, if I had to guess I would say because the local pet store isn't the cleanest and I wouldn't eat anything from there either, unlike Exotics By Nature(Shawn) has a very clean store and he values his customers.
