    the right size rat?
    im not 100% sure if my bp should eat a rat this large (small rat) ((length of a dollar and pretty fat)) hes (bp) around girth of a quater mabye a little bigger

    You need to compare the girth of the rat to the girth of your bp. They should be about the same.

    The way you describe his size, Id feed mice. I like to stay on mice until theyre comfortable with two mice and then I switch up, but to the smaller side of the spectrum. All my BPs have one thing in common, they all prefer a little smaller prey. My pastel went on a hunger strike till I gave him an adult mouse that the yearlings didnt eat. Now he's a converted F/T rat eater.
