    hey just a question for you guys and gals, should my BP be active during the day. i bought it at a local pet store and it is approximately 4 months old. it ate for me at midnight the first night i brought it home. it does come out at night some. just a new guy unsure of just how active it should be. thanks in advance

    Most snakes species are nocturnal (meaning they sleep during the day) ball Pythons are one of these species.

    If your ball python is active during the day, it probably means it is stressed with its environment. They are nocturnal and are only active at night.

    Hi,

    How long is it since you brought it home or changed its enclosure? It might just be still in the exploring a new environment stage.

    i just got it tuesday and really havent changed anything in the tank except added a water bowl

    Hi,

    Well I suspect that once you have let it have its week of no handling etc to settle in and get used to the place it will become a bit less active during the day but still come out at nightime. :D


    If you want to give us a quick run through of your enclosure temps etc we could see if anything jumps out at us?
