    Power Outtage
As I prepare for our first BP something occurred to me that I would like to prepare for in advance. What happens if you lose power for a day or two and your snake is deprived of heat? We have suffered a few extended power outages on our street in the past. Sometimes they tend to strike in the winter. So I would like to be prepared when it does happen so I can keep my snake alive and happy. What do you do for backup? How long can they go without their heat? What can I do to help a snake through something like that? Thanks folks, just trying to cover all my bases as best I can.

You can buy the heat packs that are normally used for shipping ball pythons, put one in a sock and place it in each snake's cage or tub.

Or you could get a back up power supply to keep running your heating; this would probably be best to get you through a short power outage without having to do anything.

Heat packs are not as good as having your equipment running but they will get the job done if necessary.
