I am thinking of going to cyprus mulch or cocofiber bricks soaked and broken up for bedding in my BPs setups..is that ok?

I'm using cocofibre bricks, its called Exoterra Plantation soil and is bascially finely ground coconut husks. I also have a small section of moss and some exoterra forest bark. These types of things are a little harder to maintain though. Many people will swear by newspaper, it works well and is cheap and extremely easy to maintain. Astroturf is also good. Just don't use sands or anything that is gritty and abrasive. Also no ceders since they can be toxic.

Re: bedding question
Yeah ive got them on newspaper now and it works ok but my male is soaking his tail area in his water and ive checked for mites already but pythons usually dont soak unless they have mites, humidity is low or too hot in the cage so coco will hold humidity better and it stays damp and cool so he wont get too hot...I just wasnt sure if it was safe for pythons or not.

Re: bedding question
You should never have damp substrate with ball pythons, it will cause scale rot.
