So I just thought I could vent here, not sure which forum was best, but I guess it would be this one.
Pretty soon I will have 2 BP's (new arrivals that still are gaining wait etc), and possibly an albino Burm (again gaining wait and may be a two to three month period).
It has just been harder and harder for me to find good homes. I mean I have pretty strict restrictions. I want to make sure the lil ones go somewhere that would be a forever home.
I think lately I'm getting more and more folks emailing and calling to just say they want to adopt a lizard. OK what kind exactly because there is a bit of a difference between a bearded dragon, leopard gecko, chameleon, and a water monitor. Same goes with snakes. I'm glad you want to adopt one and I'd love to help but are you looking for a corn snake or an anaconda?
Sorry to complain, I guess I've just had a very frustrating day of calls here at the rescue.
Thanks for letting me complain. It just seems harder and harder to find good homes, even with our great hobby growing.
