    Darkened Lips on Spider
Hey all, just wanted to get some opinions. Got this spider a few weeks ago and he went into shed during the trip from the east coast to Arizona. His first night here he shed in a few different pieces. He has this darkened area around his lips that I think is where he may not have shed the front of his mouth completely. It hasn't really gotten any darker and it hasn't spread at all. I don't see any signs of mouth rot or anything in his mouth, he's eating great, his temps are great. Only thing I've noticed odd about him is he occasionally soaks in his water, moreso than my others. I used POM on him even though I didn't see any mites, and there were no signs of mites afterwards. Although I've not seen him soaking since I did it.

Anything to be concerned about or should I wait a shed or two and see if it clears up? I don't think its a big deal, but wanted some more experienced opinions just to be sure. I guess for all I know, it could be his normal look. Sorry the pics aren't the greatest, the spider was cooperative, the camera wasn't.

    Thanks.

That is a normal marking on the Spider morph.

    It won't go away.

Okay, well that makes sense and puts my mind more at ease. I was just erring on the side of caution I guess.

    Thanks!
