    Herpstat Pro Question
I decided I'm going to buy a Herpstat Pro with some of the money I got from graduation and my birthday, but I have a question about which bundle I should get. Spyder Robotics sells package #1 as just the Herpstat Pro and package #2 includes the Herpstat Pro with the wiring cables that allow you to hook it up to the computer.

Is the bundle with the computer cables worth it? It's like an extra $70 to do the computer cable package. If anyone has any experience with either, please let me know if you have a recommendation for either! Thanks!!

    I have the basic pro.

Unless you plan on being a super pro with a computer sensor and everything hooked up to the internet, I don't see there being any reason to get the USB cable package.

    Re: Herpstat Pro Question
I use the Herpstat Pro with the Uploader Software hooked up to my incubator. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you download the latest version of the software from Dion's website (after purchasing the whole package). It gives you the peace of mind that everything is running smoothly since you can have it send updates via email and/or text message. Also, you can check your temperature (including your high and low temps) online. It's great!

    Re: Herpstat Pro Question
I liked the idea of having an emergency email being sent to me if temps spike, but for $70.... idk??

I'm leaning towards not buying the bundle because it is a very trustworthy brand and product....

    Hm...???

My opinion is this: I'd rather spend $70 on extra reassurance than have that off-chance of losing a clutch. To me, it's worth the extra expense.

I want to make clear that my Pros are on racks, not incubators :)

    Herpstat Pro's here as well:D

I got the basic package. The messaging service only works with a certain Cell Phone carriers if I remember correctly.

The Herpstat Pro's are built like a tank, I have one controlling 5 to 6000 dollars worth of animals, and am worry free.

    Whats on your incubators Heather?

Thanks for all the input so far everyone! Like I said, I really like the idea of having alerts sent to my email or phone, but this "certain carriers only" thing bothers me. My carrier isn't included.

Looks like that solves my dilemma....

Thanks again for the quick input!!! :):):)
