Heating ?

I currently have racks with back heat and i also have a heated room.
My question is, do i really need the heat tape if the room is able to keep the smae temp as the tape could?

You will need your heat tape to provide the temp gradient that most snakes need. You could heat your room to what you wanted your cool side temps to be but you would still need to use the heat tape for the warm side.
