    Calabar Python
I've been lurking around here for a while but never had a reason to join before today. I am experienced in reptile care but this will be my first snake. I've been snake shopping now for a while and come up with a list of possibilities. I hit the stores today to look at said possibilites and came across a Calabar python. I kindof fell in love with the little guy but left him at the store to research and set up a tank for him.

The main issue I've come across is no care sheet says the same thing. I was hoping some of you could point me at your favorite care sheet or better yet have some of these little cuties and can provide me first hand experience. I wasn't even sure which forum to post this in as no one seems to know if they are a boa or a python!

    Main issues-
    High humidity vs. relatively dry
Handleability- some sheets say that they handle it well some say never to touch them.
Temp- but I figure I can take the most popular temp offered on the sheets and adjust as needed.

Any information you might have would be greatly appreciated.

    WELCOME!!!!!

I'm sorry I can't help with the animals as I have no experience with them but I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction. :D

Thanks! This looks like a great resource so I'm excited to be here with all you knowledgeable snake people! One of the main ways I used to narrow down the choices for my snake was to read back post. Unfortunately the only ones mentioning this species dont provide much info.
