    Taylor MI Vendors--Blood/Short tails
    Hey everyone,

Krystal and I are hoping to pick up a blood or short-tail python at the Taylor show, and we are hoping someone can point us in the direction of a vendor that keeps them. I called the contact number for the show itself and they were worthless...just told us to ask the vendors at the show. We are hopefully going to be making some trades so we would like to get in contact with some potential sellers before the actual date of the show, which is Saturday. If anyone knows anyone that breeds short tails or bloods that sells or attends the Taylor show, please let me know.

    Thanks

If Gary and John from ProHerps are there they will either have them or know who to send you to for good ones.

Have you considered getting onto www.bloodpythons.com? Sign up and take a look around.

Theres a lot of GREAT breeders over there that are VERY passionate about they're animals. Theres also some SPECTACULAR animals hatching out right now over there as well.

I'd hate for you to buy a Blood on a whim from an un-researched breeder that may or may not provide you with a quality animal.

    HTH

I have been lurking on bloodpythons.com for a bit, I just signed up and put you down as a referral. We definitely want a quality animal, but if we could find a reputable breeder at the show, we get to save on shipping. We are not set on buying one this weekend, it would just be a perk. We need to sell/trade our boas first anyway.

this is true, none of his stuff looks all that healthy and mostly because of the way he presents them. However, I would say he carries a lot of things that you wouldn't normally see at that show. I have seen some crazy looking horned lizard species, some tree boa, and some big 6ft long iguanas. They don't usually look like they are in great shape. I can't believe that no one has every said anything to him. they shouldn't let him in the show, gives the wrong impression of reptile hobbyist and breeders.

This is the show that I attend and I will be there this weekend but I am not sure who you all are referring to "the island of death" table. When you say the back left corner - if you considering the front up where you enter by the fee table - where is this guy in relation to where John and Gary always set up shop???

Just curious - want to stay away from the guy with a bad rep.

    Thanks.

I know that island, although I've never heard it referenced as such. It's sad to see his business/animal care practices have gone down hill so far since only a couple of years ago. :(

He does have a blood or two, but I'd advise to steer clear of it, not many have bloods there, the only one I can think of is Proherp. He might have one or two, not many.

I do have to agree with Mike, he does carry some rare things for a show like that, but never in the best shape.

But Gary @ Proherps does have bloods? I have met him, watch him on youtube and have heard a lot of good things about him, so that would be a potential candidate to buy from.
