dent in eye (dont think its hydration)
ok, so after a perfect, successful shed, i recently noticed my bp had a dent in its left eye :(!
i know what a retained eye cap looks like, and i gotta say, this looks bad
i think my :snake: might have rubbed its eye too hard on something to remove the shed, and dented its eye! im veeeery nervous about this, i would get a picture but it just ate a larger than normal mouse just a day and a half ago so im not handling him
is this common? how can i help? every website i searched to find out wut mite happen seems to be only related to the eye cap. is there a possible way that he was too rough during shed? help pees
Re: dent in eye (dont think its hydration)
I don't know if this is exactly the same case as yours, but a while back I thought I noticed a dent in my fire female's eye. All my temps and humidity were fine, and no stuck eye caps so I thought it could have been an injury. Well I let her be for a few days (I'm not saying to do this, I just did, it may have been right or wrong) and the next time I checked on her the eye was back to normal. Not sure if that helped, that's just what happened to me.

Re: dent in eye (dont think its hydration)
Same thing happened here...
Perhaps, its like that movie Blind...except its with snakes, and they get dents?!
He shedded about two weeks ago, and the humidity is perfect right now, I just dipped his head in his bowl, he didn't like it, but two hours later, it was gone...
Re: dent in eye (dont think its hydration)
Make sure your humidity is up and wait a few days.
Its probably not a retained eye cap. Those look like the snake is still in its blue phase and they are pretty noticeable.
