    size of prey
Is there a set scale of weight of prey compared to weight of ball python? Cause I see on a website that sells frozen rats that they go by weight in grams of the rat. If I have a 600 gram snake what weight rat should you feed once a week?
    Thanks

    15-20% of snake's mass.

Yuppers. You can always do multiple mice if it's intimidated by the rat's size.

Not all ball pythons will take large meals. Some need multiple small meals. I've heard of a fussy adult ball who needs multiple small adult live mice for every feeding because she won't touch f/t and is scared by anything bigger. How annoying is that? Heh.

If the ball python takes the larger meal then fantastic. Otherwise you may have to order some smaller ones and try those instead.

it is 10-15% of your snakes weight, so your prey item should be 60-90g
