Retirement of Breeding Snakes?
At what age or point do you retire your breeding snakes? Females? Males?
What do you do with them? I'm a sap, so I can imagine I will keep the majority of mine, certainly any which I breed from for years and years and get super attached to. I'm just curious what others do.

I think it's often when a snake dies. If I'm not mistaken, females can lay big healthy clutches well into their twenties, so I don't think a lot of ball pythons are put into retirement.

I would say its time to retire them when they start complaining of fake headaches during the breeding season? :):)

i know a breeder who has one that was imported as an adult in 77 and shes still dropping 10+ every year,,,,so not sure retirement is an option?

I believe it was the Philadelphia zoo that had a 35 year old female still producing viable eggs.
