    sheding temperment question!
Jake shed the 30th of April. He's in blue now (Which surprised me since he went 3 months between his shed at the petstore and his first shed with me the 30th of April) He is not as active as he was before going into blue. I can't remember how active he was last shed. He fed well yesterday. Today he is laying under his log (cold side), with his head out of the log, which is normal after feeding, but he hasn't came out at all today, not even to regulate his temp. Is this something I should worry about or is a norm during shedding after a feed??

    Husbandry:
    aspine bedding
log hide with aspen built up closing the back entrance on cold side... temp 82
coconut hide on warm side with temp 90
    humidity 70%

I'd say it's nothing to worry about. Do those happen to be half log hides by any chance?

The one on the cold side is, however it is backed up against the back of the aquarium and has aspen built up around it so there's only 1 entrance and he's secure. It's almost like a burrow if you will. We have put a white roll paper around the sides and back to give more security. he tends to like that hide better than his coconut.

The one on the warm side is a coconut with only an entrance hole.

The paper was a suggestion from here, and someone else on here said the balls should only have 1 entrance, so I came up with the aspen/burrow thing. He seems to like it.

    Thanks!
