    Do you name your snakes?
I just realized that I've had some of my snakes for almost a year now and not one of them have a name. Well, they sort of have names: 08malepastel, 08femalenormal, 08maleposshetclown....... Anyone else in the same boat?

I think it's just for the ease of remembering whose who and what I should do with them.

I have stopped naming my snakes. I think when I went over 40, I just started giving them numbers.

I still refer to a few by name even though they now have a number.

I am at 45, and they all have names, but the last 5 were REALLY hard and were unnamed for a long time. Even now I have days where I am not sure what I named those particular snakes... I think I will be moving in the numbering direction soon enough. Or I will start naming entire clutches after all the characters in a show, band, novel, etc.

Thats actually a very good strategy. I volunteer at a Humane Society and thats what we tend to do for litters, and it works out well to know who's who and which animals came in together etc. Plus its nifty :D

I name mine! Mine are all named after...things from movies or games or tv shows or stuff. I only have 5, but I use my mom's label maker to make nice neat labels on their tubs with their name, followed by DOB, type, gender, and any other notes. That might help when you have more snakes!

I name all of mine (except the babies. Don't want to get too attached since they are all going to new homes). I don't know what'll happen once I get to 40+, but for now they'll all have names.
