    Boa cage height?
I am going to be buying a cage for my columbian red tail. She is a female so im sure she is going to get big. Im looking at boaphiles at some of the 72 in long ones. they have 2 options the 11.5 in height or the 17.5 height. Is that tall enough for a boa. I would think she would be cramped height wise with the 17.5 not to mention the 11.5. What do you guys think.

I have my adult female in a 4x2x2 cage. I like the extra height for cleaning reasons. She does not use the extra height though.

unneeded height just makes the cages harder to heat. So basically the height depends on your preference when cleaning or removing the snake from the enclosure. Bigger is always better for the snake but I personally have 9 ft females in VE 175 tubs. Snake plus a large water bowl and plenty of space.

I use 4'longx2'widex19"high, I use radiant heat panels for my cages and the extra head room helps with it.
