I know it's ridiculous, but I am scared to death of them! LOL I have 14 snakes but spiders make me get up, turn the lights on, and check the room... haha :) They are so cool, though. I totally respect them. Yours are very neat.

It's funny how certain things creep people out. My wife for whatever reason ABSOLUTELY does not like centipedes. That is why I don't have any of them-lol

Ha now those I think are awesome! I would have one!! Do they bite? Are they poisonous? What about the spiders- do you hold them much? Very interesting critters.
Re: Versi, curly and chaco pics duw...
Oh my god you have twenty big hairy spiders... AH! I just noticed that. Also, how long do they live? Sorry for the questions! I just haven't ever talked to anyone who had them.
Re: Versi, curly and chaco pics duw...
Pedes bite and some are highly poisonous. I hold some of my tarantula's (the one's that tolerate it-some will bite and some will kick hairs) if I need to move them or something but I don't really hold them to just hold them though. I am like that with all my animals though. Most of the really poisonous tarantula's are old world but I don't keep any of them.
The male tarantula's sadly only live a few years (long enough to mature and do their thing) but the females will live a long time. And no problems about asking all the questions!!! I love answering them :gj:

Pretty wild! Kicking hairs? Is that a defensive thing? I actually googled tarantulas after viewing this thread, but the pictures freak me out here in the dark! haha
